Grandma Elsie Marshall

Grandma Elsie (Brown) Marshall, 1905-1989.

We are the Cousins.

We all come from Elsie (Brown) Marshall, our grandmother. Elsie was a spitfire and forerunner of her day. With her first husband, Frank Drake, she had Gerald and Mickey. Five more children followed with her second husband, Walter Marshall: Elnora, Vernon, Clarissa (Chris), Ronald and Risa. Each of her children extended the family circle through birth and marriage, bringing Elsie 32 grandchildren. She was found of saying, “I have 32 grandchildren—that I know of.” She passed away in 1989 with more than a dozen great-great grandchildren. Today even some of those great-grandchildren have children.

We were raised to love and respect each other and extend the same courtesies to everyone. This includes all of the step-family we’ve encircled into our family through the years. Elsie didn’t pay favorites between those who were born into the brood or were blended in by marriage. We don’t either. Our cousins are our cousins.

Featured below are the founders of Cousin Cuisine. We expect more of our cousins to hop on board once we get this blog rolling. We hope you enjoy it.
